We are on the Cutting Edge- this is Dentistry Today.

Dr. Miller believes that up-to date technology is an essential aspect of a successful dental practice. First Impressions Dentistry utilizes the latest digital systems to assist in record keeping and appointment scheduling. X-rays and photographs are all taken and stored digitally. Intra-oral photos allow the patients to see what we see in their own mouth. Laser dentistry is the newest premium technology and used to increase comfort and quality for both our general dentistry patients and our cosmetic patients. If you would like to experience the difference that advanced technology can make to the dental experience, please contact our office. We will be glad to verbally explain all of our assets in the dental field.
We're equipped with the latest state-of-the-art digital systems and diagnostic tools like digital x-rays and photographs, that give both the doctor and the patient a clearer image of what's going on inside their mouth.

Dr. Miller is always looking for ways to make procedures less invasive and as pain-free as possible.  One of the most advanced systems we use in our office is the Biolase laser system.  This revolutionary technology can be used in most treatments and it is designed to increase patient comfort and quality of dentistry.

We invite you to experience top quality dentistry at its best, by calling our office today.  Our staff will gladly answer any questions you may have about the technologies we use or the services we provide.

Digital X-ray

Using digital radiography, we are able to take high quality x-rays of your teeth that can be viewed and stored on our computers.  Unlike traditional x-rays, digital radiography transmits much less radiation to the patient and to the environment.  We're also able to promptly email your x-rays to specialists and insurance companies if need be.

Intra-oral Camera

This micro video camera is the size of a pen and allows both you and the doctor to see a live view of what's going on inside your mouth.  Because the camera is able to magnify the image of your teeth, any cracks, stains, or gaps can easily be seen.  With this incredible tool, Dr Miller is able to find dental problems that he may not otherwise be able to spot with just a regular examination.  One of the main uses for intra-oral cameras is in providing patient education.  Doctors find it useful to be able to show patients exactly where medical attention may be needed or where a problem may be emerging.  Patients get a better understanding of what's going on in their mouths and are more open to proceeding with the course of treatment.

Diagnostic Wax Up

A diagnostic wax-up or tooth mold, assists in the process of creating cosmetic restorations.  Using a diagnostic wax-up, Dr. Miller can get an accurate visual of how much tooth preparation is required, saving a great amount of time during the tooth reduction stage.  The diagnostic wax-up is crucial in carefully evaluating function and in crafting a flawless smile design that is beautiful and looks natural.

At First Impressions Dentistry, we firmly believe in educating patients about all of our dental procedures and techniques so that they can make knowledgeable decisions for their course of treatment.

To help educate our patients, we use the state-of-the-art Casey Interactive System.  This unique multimedia program shows patients how procedures are performed in a clear, step-by-step process.

Viewed on a high-resolution video monitor, the Intra-oral camera assists the Casey system in displaying different areas in a patients' mouth.  Through this interactive process, patients can better understand what will occur during the treatment and know exactly what to expect.

During your course of treatment, if you ever have any questions or concerns, Dr. Miller and our staff are always available to answer your inquiries and guide you through the process.

Nitrous Oxide

Many patients feel nervous and anxious about visiting the dentist.  At First Impressions Dentistry, our goal is to make you feel completely relaxed and at ease.  For our nervous patients, we use nitrous oxide (also known as “laughing gas”) to make you feel as comfortable as possible during your entire procedure.  Nitrous oxide provides a safe and mild form of sedation, while you lay awake, in a sleepy like state, but unable to feel any pain.
